Hi There -

I spent a few minutes the other night coming up with names for blogs. My neighbor uses False Precision, which I think is a great name, and was the idea I was chasing. Rarefaction caught me as it's the area around the noise. From Wikipedia:

Rarefaction is the reduction of a medium's density, or the opposite of compression.

A natural example of this is as a phase in a sound wave or phonon. Half of a sound wave is made up of the compression of the medium, and the other half is the decompression or rarefaction of the medium.

There's plenty of noise (compression) on the net today (as evident by some status updates on facebook). This is my attempt to stay away from just adding to the noise. We'll see if that proves to be an appropriate name or not.
